Geographical areas with simiklar characteristics for Climate-site specific management – validation with local actors

The analysis of climate and soil data, by clusteringmethods, generates a variable number of different groups, in this case different zones. The definition of how many areas to generate will depend on statistical parameters, but alsoon local expert knowledge. This is how in the last report a partial zoning was delivered, based on different methodologies, which offered between 3 and 11 zones. This report presents a new grouping, with new databases and a definition of 5 zones for Choluteca after a validation process carried out with local actors who know their territory. The validation of areas for Copan will be done in the month of May.
